The Arca do Brasil is one of many Arks worldwide, in which people with and without disabilities live together. The aim is to give persons with mainly mental disabilities the possibility to apply themselves in the society as a full-value member. At the same time they should receive the required assistance and support that they need. In addition the Ark in São Paulo has a pedagogic/therapeutic workshop area.
Field of work: work with persons with disability, education and social affairs
Qualification: experience in dealing with persons with disability, capacity for teamwork, take delight in living in a community, command of Portuguese advantageous
Function of volunteers: daily assistance and support for the people living in the Ark, conveyance of knowledge and abilities for the daily live, according to the interest and qualification it is possible to implement own ideas for projects in consultation with the local staff

Stay: 12 months
